Ex-English footballer Stan Collymore has landed a role in “Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction” according to British tabloid The Sun. A film insider told the paper “Collymore won the part after impressing producers last week.”
He will be filmed pleasuring Sharon Stone’s ice pick-wielding femme fatale character Catherine Tremell as they race through London in a $180,000 Spyker C8 Laviolette sports car.
However, he will be killed off in the first 30 seconds. Sharon crashes the car through a barrier and it careers into the Thames. Collymore’s character Kevin Franks – drowns. Now that’s a way to go.
Collymore gained notoriety over the years, including last year whee admitted to practicing the increasingly popular act of ‘dogging’ – voyeuristic sex with strangers in parked cars.
Filming on the BI sequel starts on Monday at Pinewood Studios and on location in London.

Charlotte Rampling (“Swimming Pool”, “Spy Game”) and David Thewlis (“Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban”, “Kingdom of Heaven”) have joined the cast of “Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction” for Intermedia Films and C2 Pictures says Reuters.
They join Sharon Stone and David Morrissey in the sequel that starts shooting this week at London’s Pinewood Studios and on location in the U.K. Written by Leora Barish and Henry Bean, the London-set sequel finds Catherine Tramell (Stone) on the wrong side of the law. She meets a man who might finally be her match: The criminal psychologist (Morrissey) assigned to evaluate her by Scotland Yard.
Rampling plays a psychiatrist friend of Morrissey’s character, with Thewlis playing a police officer. This announcement comes on top of yesterdays news of football player Stan Collymore joining the cast in a small but memorable role at the film’s start.
