Critics and fans aren’t the only ones giving high marks to Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange for their performances in HBO’s Grey Gardens, Big Edie Beale’s own grandchildren, Michelle Beale and cousin Christopher Beale, are talking to E! Online and praising the film for their depiction of the lives of their infamous relatives.

Christine Ebersole will play ghostly Elvira in the spring 2009 Broadway revival of Noel Coward’s “Blithe Spirit”. The Tony Award-winning actress, who played dual roles in the musical “Grey Gardens”, will be joined by four-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury as psychic Madame Arcati and film star Rupert Everett, who will be making his Broadway debut playing the part of Elvira’s former husband, Charles Condomine.

A historic house on Lily Pond Lane in East Hampton was destroyed by fire at midday on Saturday, February 9th.
Built in 1905 for Edward T. Cockcroft, the hose was designed by Harrie T. Lindberg and garnered much attention, appearing on the cover of House and Garden. “According to “Hampton’s Heritage: An Illustrated Architectural Record,” Lindberg designed four houses on Lily Pond Lane using a roof technique that became his trademark.
Tripplehorn Goes “Grey”
Jeanne Tripplehorn (“Big Love”, “Basic Instinct”) has been cast as Jackie Kennedy Onassis in Drew Barrymore and HBO’s “Grey Gardens” project.
Barrymore and Jessica Lange star as “Little Edie” and “Big Edie,” the respective aunt and cousin of Onassis, who made headlines when the health department threatened to raid their flea and raccoon-infested estate in East Hampton, N.Y.
Tripplehorn will be joining Daniel Baldwin, who plays Julius Krug, the former secretary of the interior and secret true love of Little Edie; Ken Howard (“Cane”) as Big Edie’s husband; Malcolm Gets (“Caroline in the City”) as Big Edie’s accompanist; and Arye Gross (“The Practice”) as documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles.

Sex And The City: The Movie
Above is the first picture of the “Sex and the City” movie, which began shooting this week on the streets on NYC. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will all be reprising their popular characters for the big-screen version of the hit HBO series.
After sitting through the three-hour long Tony Awards ceremonies tonight, I ended up feeling rather disappointed that my favorite new musical, “Grey Gardens”, only walked away with three wins out of the 10 nominations it received. Disappointed, but happy for “Garden’s” two leading ladies, Christine Ebersole and Mary Louise Wilson, both of whom took home the much coveted statuette for best actress and best featured actress in a musical, respectively, for their portrayals of eccentric mother and daughter socialites, Edith Bouvier Beale and “Little” Edie Beale.
Drew Barrymore will be joining Queen Latifah and Molly Sims as the newest face of CoverGirl cosmetics. The deal will include Barrymore co-directing her own commercial which will debut January of 2008.
“To be chosen not only as the newest face of CoverGirl, but also as a co-creative director of my first TV commercial is truly amazing,” Barrymore said.
That’s most excellent Drew, but now can we please move on to filming that Grey Gardens movie which has been stuck in development hell forever?
Supernatural is one of the best suspense/horror TV shows to hit the air waves since the X-Files and it goes without saying that it’s one of my favorites as well.
The show centers on brothers Sam and Dean Winchester ( Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles ), who as young boys witness the mysterious, paranormal death of their mother and the disappearance of their father thereafter.
As adults, the boys embark on a quest for answers to that eventful night, encountering supernatural with every twist and turn along the way. The stylized show is an excellent mix of backwoods, American Gothic horror and moody suspense, it’ like The X-Files on testosterone starring two very likable leading men.
