William Hurt and Kathleen Turner sizzle in Lawrence Kasdan’s Body Heat, a sexy, haunting tale of desire and murder that echoes the classic film noirs of the 1940′s.

Ned Racine (William Hurt) is a seedy small town lawyer who during a searing Florida heatwave is entranced by an alluring married woman by the name of Matty Walker (Turner). A passionate affair commences and Ned is manipulated into killing Matty’s much older husband (Richard Crenna), the plan being that Ned’s knowledge of legal matters will enable both conspirators to escape scott-free.

Hurt and Turner sizzle in Lawrence Kasdan’s directorial debut, a sexy, haunting tale of passion and murder that echoes the classic film noirs of the 1940′s.

Aided by a sultry John Barry score, Kasdan’s debut foreshadowed the emotional textures he would bring to later films The Big Chill, The Accidental Tourist and Grand Canyon.
